my journal

a couple of weeks ago, i went on a wonderful adventure in art making with my sister and two of her friends. we traveled to pendleton, oregon and spent one day with a master printmaker and another day learning to make hand-made books. this is the result of my first bookmaking efforts. i like it so much that i can't bring myself to write in it...sigh.

I can see why you're having trouble writing in it. It's gorgeous!

thanks e.o.w. i finally bit the bullet and broke into it...for a special purpose, naturally :-)

Gorgeous was my first impression, too. Do you write in ink or pencil? Just curious. There are books in which I only wrote in pencil, others only ink. Depended on my state of mind at the time.

barbara--my favorite journal writing utensil is a true fountain pen. it feels really good in my hand and the ink flows wonderfully - at least until it runs out and i have to fill it up again from the ink well.

i have a few books that pencil seems the write thing, but when journaling, i need the flow.
