I've come back to this entry a few times and this time I'm amused to see 7 women portrayed - there may be more - and the first time I viewed it I saw only ONE! Oh, there's a post in that isn't there - from one to 7 coming after turning back....:)

btw--just noticed that klimt has titled this "the maiden" not the maidenS. 7 in one? the many faces of woman? 7 faces of eve? lucky 7? stop me, please.
