matin

Somewhere, out at the edges, the night
Is turning and the waves of darkness
Begin to brighten the shore of dawn

The heavy dark falls back to earth
And the freed air goes wild with light,
The heart fills with fresh, bright breath
And thoughts stir to give birth to color.

This photo is spectacular - but I already told the photographer that!!! He is so talented!!

And O'Donohue, such a loss, I must buy some of his poetry. Thanks for sharing the photo and the words.

Lucy - love the photo and the O'Donohue. I only discovered him after he died and like sunrise sister I must get around to buying some of his stuff.

Krista Tippett did a great podcast with John O'D which was 'broadcast' recently - a truly inspirational man

This poem is so luscious (as is the photo!) -- the O'Donohue book should be waiting for me when I get home. . . missing you!
