who knew...

...a simple breakfast could be so extravagant & delicious?

...the metro could provide miles of EASY transportation and entertainment?

...the most fabulous authentic French lunch would come from the smallest guidebook in the most obscure neighborhood?

...that Paris had another waterway besides the Seine (including 'baby' locks)???

...Sacre Coeur would be SO worth the trek up a million stairs through the seediest, most touristy part of town?

...the Eiffel Tower can stand on it's side? maybe not...you probably can believe that I have tried for several days to straighten out this favorite picture...c'est la vie!

...I could look so gloriously happy in the pouring rain after a 15 hour day??? (O.k. it might have something to do with standing on top of the Eiffel tower with my great new friend overlooking the City of Lights ☺☺☺) Vie, c'est bon!!!!

You look radiant! Who knew croissants and coffee were also a beauty treatment? (probably only works in Paris though, darn) :-)

Tell us about your authentic French lunch! Your descriptions and your photo diary are superbe!

Lucy is radiant (light, dontcha know!) but it probably isn't so much the coffee and croissants as the miles and miles of walking! Nothing beats a bit of exercise...

I told you the Sacre Coeur was worth it - but I don't recall millions of steps! Admittedly I was 26 years old and quite fit at the time, as well as being on honeymoon in Paris!

I'm glad you're having such a good time - say hello to Tess.

Ah, I can see the spirit of Paris everywhere in your pictures. Even though it's not the same place I lived in in 1964, it still looks wonderful. It sounds like you thought so too!
