By accepting this Excellent Blog Award, you have to award it to 10 more people whose blogs you find Excellent Award worthy. You can give it to as many people as you want but please award at least 10. You deserve this! Feel free to award people who have already been awarded…
so here are my 10. some are old favorites and others are more recent discoveries i am particularly enjoying right now (and please know that just because you are not on the list does not mean you are not excellent, because you are!!!!) i have interpreted my own rules and am awarding it back to tess (who nominated me) as she truly is most excellent!!
anchors and masts
mind sieve
hudson's notebook
endlessly restless
paris parfait
creative everyday
you say i'm a dreamer

sacred ruminations
i am also going to take this opportunity to play a game from one more excellent blog, discombobula. here are the rules (and you know how i love to create my own rules):
Pick up the nearest book of 123 pages or more.
(No cheating!) Find Page 123.
Find the first 5 sentences.
Post the next 3 sentences.
Tag 5 people. (This is the place where i get creative...tag if you like. play if you want. you get to decide ☺.) Consider yourself invited!
the nearest book to me this morning is julia cameron's The Artist's Way--one of my top ten books for sure! here are julia's words from page 123..sentences 8-10!
"There is something enlivening about expanding our self-definition, and a risk does exactly that. Selecting a challenge and meeting it creates a sense of self-empowerment that becomes the ground for further successful challenges. Viewed this way, running a marathon increases your chance of writing a full-length play."
hmmm...definitely worth reading more.
wishing you an excellent, enlivening, expansive, creative day!!!

Well thank you back again.
I'm going to break the rules by playing the sentence game here.
The nearest book to me is Richard Rohr's Simplicity, the freedom of letting go.
Sentences 8 - 10 on page 123 are:
"Each of these perspectives makes me less likely to be aware of 'women stuff', much less see any problems or need to change anything. We white males have been holding all the cards, naming all the questions, and providing all the answers for the entire Christian era - except for those few golden years when God took poor flesh in Jesus. He took twelve Jewish men and tried to show them how they could be part of the solution instead of part of the problem."
thanks so much, lucy!!
and wow, so much color and creativity here. it's awesome!
tess--i love that you played the game here and what a wonderful few sentences from rohr!

I'm having a "gawlee" moment - thank you! This is a heavy duty crowd you've dropped me into and I am honored.
My eyes are scratchy now, lots of sunlight (not necessarily sunshine) today, wind, lots of whales too:), so I'll play the page 123 game tomorrow.
Thank you again!

WooHoo! Thank you, my dear and EXCELLENT friend, Lucy!!!
Ooooh - I like 123 game - will have to do this when I have more than a few moments.
I am deeply honored. Thank you.
Most of all I'm honored to call you friend.

there is no doubt in my mind why you are all on this list :-) xoxoxoxo
Thanks for the award - I'm chuffed and surprised.
I like the quotation from Julia Cameron - pretty much sums up some of the things I'm trying just now!
Thanks
