I see a young girl dreaming - but she can't truly see or recognize the images in the dream. They refuse to reveal their true identity.
Only when we are truly authentic do we reveal who we are.

My first thought was what a pretty hat that man was wearing :) Then I thought that they all have masks except that very pretty doll-like girl ... and then I thought that that's her mask.
Hooray for collages. The one I made last night was very interesting. It's kind of an homage to Lucy - it has a picture of the Eiffel Tower in it :) (It was tipping my hat to your adventures in Paris, but also to my own hoped-for future adventures. I have wanted to go to France and Italy for quite a while now - and hopefully one day I will get there :)

I think this girl is being raised to understand that putting on masks to play to the crowd is dangerous - and she will be lost in jungleland if she does. Of course, the temptation to be a wild child is very appealing at her tender age. It's a long road back to finding oneself. Her mother also probably told her to get real about the amount of make-up: "Keep the cool shirt, but go wash your face. You're a natural beauty." Can't help it - I'm SUCH a mom!
wow, dream, you have packed a lot into a little analysis!! "it's a long way back to finding oneself." it is is heartbreaking to me that so many of us get lost along the way...i wonder, however, if it is not sometimes in the "road back" that the real journey begins. lots to think about.

I agree, Lucy - we need to lose ourselves to find ourselves. Which just gives me swirly circular abstract visuals. But I think it's true.
Makes finding ourselves more wonderful and beautiful and worthwhile and valuable than it would have been if we'd never lost ourselves ;)
